ETHAsia: A Decade of Ethereum Uniting Asia’s Momentum

As Ethereum marks its 10th anniversary milestone, SNZ, as one of the co-hosts, proudly partnered with Wanxiang Blockchain, HashKey Group, DRK Lab, ETHPanda, AltLayer, and Blockchain Builders Fund — seven leading institutions and communities — to present the ETHAsia.

Focusing on Ethereum’s technological evolution, ecosystem collaboration, security practices, and Asian community growth, ETHAsia gathered over 30 core builders including Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum Foundation Executive Director Hsiao-Wei, Offchain Labs Co-Founder Ed Felten, Starkware CEO Eli Ben-Sasson, and Taiko Co-Founder Terence. Through strategic tracks like "Ethereum Foundation Ecosystem Governance", "Asia’s Community Development Pathways", and "Security Infrastructure & Real-World Applications", alongside the Open Stage for Asian communities, the summit showcased Ethereum’s vibrant journey from foundational innovation to global ecosystem co-creation. Developers, researchers, and industry leaders collectively mapped the future of open-source collaboration.

As an early supporter of Ethereum’s Asian ecosystem and a research-driven investment institution, SNZ remains committed to advancing Ethereum’s growth. SNZ Capital CIO Gavin spearheaded a pivotal roundtable — "What’s Missing in Infrastructure Before Apps Take Off?" — addressing infrastructure bottlenecks. The session sparked visionary dialogues with leaders from HashKey Chain, Taiko, Brevis, and Avail, outlining evolutionary blueprints for Layer2 interoperability and decentralized sequencers.

The Open Stage amplified voices from 15 Asian-native projects across China, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, and beyond, spotlighting the region’s thriving developer communities. Meanwhile, ETHAsia’s Youth Odyssey initiative empowered Asia’s next-gen builders, selecting 17 standout developers from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, and other regions from nearly 100 applicants. At an exclusive offline meetup on April 8, Vitalik Buterin engaged directly with these innovators, offering technical guidance and ecosystem insights.
